The body of this Boxer felts quickly as it only has two stacks.
But the thin wrapped-wire legs will take a bit more time.
While this is technically a Boxer dog, with just a little tweaking it can be used for dogs with a similar body shape.
The Project Sheet Includes:
- A default pattern laid out for economical printing
- A second pattern that can be scaled up to 200%
- Template for legs and tail
- Detailed measurements
- Eighteen 3D reference images
- Tips and sculpting advice
Beginning Felters
This project assumes you’ve completed the two starter projects included in the handbook.
This is a good project to start on if you're new to creating a full-body sculpture. Felting an accurate profile is all you really need to claim a Boxer sculpture.
Experienced SWiFTers
The stacking, blending and sculpting is pretty straightforward, but I suggest you at least look through this Project Sheet and review the pictures and any bold or red text.
The Project Sheet Includes:
- A default pattern laid out for economical printing
- A second pattern that can be scaled up to 175%
- Detailed measurements
- Eighteen 3D reference images
- Tips and sculpting advice
What about coloring?
The legs and tail are thin, and should be sculpted directly in color top-coat wool. For the body you can use core or color wool. As with all SWiFT templates, you're on your own for coloring.
