Getting Started

This pattern creates a truly unique portrait. Build yours or your friends horses and be the hit of the horse show. Check out the pictures. There is an awesome ribbon display that is sure to be a hit for crafters.

Beginning Felters

I suggest you complete the included Penguin tutorial first. It shows you the SWiFT way of felting in an easy step-by-step way.
A basic horse head is your goal to start. You’ll likely be amazed at what you can make. The ears and SWiFrame legs might be a little fussy, but you can do it. This is a great project to learn on.

Experienced Felters

Once the profiles are stacked up and combined, the rest of the sculpt should be obvious. You’ll have a great jumper portrait in no time.

Craft Sellers

Make custom horses at an event by felting a bunch in basic colors (bay, black, palomino, etc.) and then quickly add customized markings when purchased. The ribbon frame is sure to be a hit.
