Multi-needle tools are great for speeding up your work. If you bought a tool kit, it may have included a wooden holder. The tools listed here are plastic and are easier to use. These are the tools that I use.

Quality Holders
Clover 3-needle Pen-style holder ($13 )
Clover 5-needle spring-loaded holder ($15 )

Lower quality set ($10)

Individual Needle Holders ($7) Set of 5
Some felters hate them and some love them. I love them. The thicker holder is easier on the hands. They can be marked with paint or tape to easily identify needle size and type.

Digital Calipers ($11)
Measuring is easier with calipers.

Manual Calipers ($7) Not pictured
This is simpler, but will get the job done.

Needle Felting Machine ($50)
Save time and wear on your shoulder and wrist, with this updated machine. This is the machine I use.

Shaver ($10)
Shavers are used to remove surface fuzz and flyaway wool fibers from finished projects.

Clippers ($10)
If you create long-haired dogs, this tiny clipper will make the coat perfect. I have not used this clipper, but it is on my felting wish list.

Posing Wire ($7)
I like this straight, cloth-covered floral wire for armatures or SWiFT posing.

Felting Mat Holder ($25)
Raise, lower and tilt your felting mat to the perfect position. This is the one I use. It works best with solid wool mats.

Scale ($10)
Having a scale will save you much guessing! Wool is often sold in smaller quantities and it's hard to visualize if one ounce or 10 grams will be enough. With a scale, you can weigh wool you already have and visually see if you're ordering enough.
