What is SWiFT?

Traditional needle felting is done using wire armatures that are wrapped in wool and felted into a shape. It can be difficult to get the proportions right working this way.

SWiFT stands for Stacked Wool Felting Technique. It uses Stacked profiles to get the proportions correct right from the start. Scroll down to watch a quick overview of SWiFT in action.

The Free SWiFT Starter Bundle

If you're new to felting or want to get an overview of the SWiFT way, you can purchase the Starter Bundle for free.

It includes a Penguin Tutorial that will show you the SWiFT way from start to finish. The SWiFT Handbook provides additional details on SWiFT that you will need when creating purchased projects.

What is SWiFrame?

Thin legs, ears, tails, and more can be frustrating to make using the traditional method of wrapping wool around a central wire.

SWiFrame uses a frame of thin wire to create a profile. Using a special process, wool is then looped around the frame, creating realistic parts.
